Abstract
With the popularity of bionics, the superhydrophobic surface inspired by the louts leaf shows great application prospect in the field of high-end offshore equipment due to its multi-functions of anti-scaling, anti-icing and drag reduction. However, the wear resistance and durability of superhydrophobic surfaces have always been the bottleneck, which restrictes its practical application. Here, we solves the above issue from the self-healing ability of the chemical composition and the microstructure. Firstly, the micro-nano structured superhydrophobic coating without modification is obtained by adsorbed hydrocarbons in air, avoiding the disadvantage from the low-energy materials. When the adsorbed hydrocarbons on the surface are destroyed due to dissolution, the coating recovers the superhydrophobicity after placed in air for adsorption again. Secondly, the intrinsic self-healing of the superhydrophobic coating is realized by using the movement of the chemical or physical bond of the polymer adhensive layer to drive micro-nano particles to reconstruct the micro-nano structures. Finally, considering the application environment such as underwater, effervescent materials are introduced to provide gas sources underwater, and the self-healing ability of underwater superhydrophobicity is realized in collaboration with polyurethane containing dynamic hydrogen bonds. It provides a new research idea for improving the wear resistance of bionic superhydrophobic coatings underwater.
