Abstract
The "rapid heating and rapid cooling" effect, non-equilibrium diffusion, and small-scale bonding characteristics of laser cladding result in non-uniform properties of the material hardness and microstructure, making it difficult to evaluate the cutting performance of the cladding coating. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel research method that uses the equivalent method of hardness and microstructure to divide the forming regions of the heterogeneous coating, and uses nanoindentation combined with cutting experiments to reverse identify the constitutive model of the heterogeneous coating. By adjusting the laser cladding parameters to change the heterogeneous structure of the coating, the static constitutive parameters of the heterogeneous coating were obtained by nanoindentation experiments, and a microscopic mechanical constitutive model of the gradient heterogeneous structure based on grain morphology and size was established. Finally, the cutting performance of different forming regions (microstructures) was investigated, and the dynamic constitutive parameters of the coating were inverted, further verifying the validity of the constitutive model.
